Sorry, again, for not giving any updates here on the mailing list. I see the last message I sent was in January, announcing https://totalism.org/season7-B . This is still going on. (So the base has been running since October 2019, only with the break for 36c3). I personally spent the whole time here, with Lies staying longer, and a few comrades passing by. We never publicized much because of the obvious global situation, and uncertainty of how to deal with it, other than laying low, as a public camp.
The entire confinement period was very productive and pleasant, spending it in El Jablito, Fuerteventura. Yes, we moved islands, are not on Lanzarote anymore. We got used to living in a van, enjoyed being free next to the beach, made good connections with the locals, and especially wrote many things, lots of them on totally new topics.
Some current perspectives (and separate posts, soon):
* Some people are on the way here right now. We are figuring out how to do quarantine of the incoming.
* I am sketching Season 8 (2020/2021) directions. (I'm pretty sure they will involve: occupying buildings, moving the laboratory and extending the caravan, quarantines for visitors, connecting and consolidation with other projects, etc.)
* I think a new version of the website should be coming before the end of the year. (Will still be the same pads & content - just with improvement on Indexes, much more photos, better legibility, search?, subscriptions?, templates, etc.)
* As you know, the best hacker party in the galaxy, the Chaos Communication Congress (CCC) this year - 37c3 - will not happen. Instead, a rC3 ("remote CCC"). Our pads system should map relatively well to it.
* etc etc etc.
