* biased studies ?

I heard that, apparently:
    "out of ~150 studies, 80% said there is no effect ..."
    "... but in the 20% percent which raised concerns were 80% of those who were not funded by 5G industries" ...

How to establish scientific consensus?

* "Nobody was asked": How should the public decide on deployment of advanced tehnologies?

... like:
    * self-driving cars?
    * face recognition cameras & surveillance tech?
    * drastic changes in basic resources (drinking water, air, food limits, etc) composition?
    * [...]

Should this be a constitutional affair?

Has the process been moving too fast?

Who should be asked, consulted?

What are fair limits to considerations of outputs?

* Trees have to be cut? or, incentive to not place them?

Contra:
    "yes, this has always been an issue with RF ... you know, Fresnel etc"

Contra Contra:
    yes but longer range signals IRL bounce of stuff in a cityscape situation.
    in cities, you have stuff to bounce off !
    minding the context, 5G is super city specific and has to be thought in this way!

* 5G is interfering with weather (etc) measurements

???

* The massive cost leads capitalising the project into worrying financing schemes

It's driven by chipmakers.
Operators can't really afford to build it themselves.
One reason why larger actors are getting involved.

* USA anti-China economic proxy war

The right-wing in Europe are hurrying to sign up to Trump State Department's "5G security declarations".
This to try ensuring American hegemony.
Concerns within EU that they will "backdoor us all into oblivion" are not supported by neither the American track-record**, laws**, or the popular reading of the consequences of their constitution, which "grants protections from individual### spying without a warrant only to american citizens".**

Case in point:
    Mike Pompeo touring EU right-wing governments in 2020 august (Czech, Slovenia, Poland, Austria).

"""
However, not all in the region are playing ball. Pompeo won’t be stopping off in Hungary, despite President Trump’s open admiration for nationalist and populist premier, Viktor Orban. Budapest, which enjoys perhaps the closest ties of any EU capital to Beijing, has shrugged off the US warnings and Huawei is already working on the building of Hungary’s 5G network.
“Warsaw and Prague are both following the line of this US administration more closely,” said Peter Kreko, head of Budapest-based think-tank Political Capital. “Pompeo’s decision not to visit Slovakia or Hungary definitely sends a message.”

* "it is non-ionising radiation! even less power!"

"""Skeptics believe exposure to non-ionizing radiation may still be responsible for a range of illnesses, from brain tumors to chronic headaches. Over the years, there have been thousands of studies investigating these concerns."""

""""Everyone I know, including me, is recommending more research on 5G because there's not a lot of toxicology studies with this technology," Foster said."""

-> It seems true it does not pose the same "radiation" fears, however, it is dramatically different.

* "the engineers have been doing this for 20 years and NOW you come and try to influence this?!"

-> To give any legitimacy to THOSE processes would be basically enacting some sort of techno-(corporate)-fascism.

NO.

* "stopping 5G is propaganda by governmens, as - because of its mesh nature - it is more difficult to eavesdrop"

-> Whatever, libtards!

* "it will do a lot of good things!"

Realtime & high-bandwidth applications:
    * collaboration = far less / no more commuting !
    * medical stuff - long-distance operations, etc.

    * self-driving cars

* Internet and mobile networks data consumption

Scanning the Finland document I posted earlier, I noticed they have a
figure of 37kWh per gigabyte on 2G.

This is similar to the AT Kearney document's figure of 33.6 kWh in 2009.

( weird feeling @neukoln top-floor apartment with 3G/4G above ceiling ?)

I didn't know it was there, but heard / sensed it.

EPISTEMOLOGY -- "5g is problematic"

5g definitely seems problematic. if nothing else, the fact how many people are raising a massive amount concerns about it, shows that it is definitely misunderstood. While this doesn't accept any of the concerns of the anti-5G crowds, it doesn't need to. Until there is a clear evaluation of what kind of conditions need to be met for a technology to enter the market, our public space, into the lives of people around us, into the natures that surround us or other people in the world, -- there needs to be adequate consideration. Not like Slovenia's new hydro power plants. Both process, the hydro plant and 5G deployment, are too fast, and pushed by though un-consolidated, ingoring if they are mis-understood, opposed, etc. In the traditional sense, this is "totalising".
But actually, it is rather the reverse of that. Totalising would be trying to capture the totality of wills, interests, and realities of the situation.
What is happening here is particularist**, a "singular will", or assortment of particular individuals.

We need a living, totalising process, that produces a totality. That is totalism.
